The third annual Nevada Veterans Memorial Benefit Dinner, is this Thursday at the Peppermill. Featured speaker for the dinner is Medal of Honor recipient, Staff Sergeant Ty M. Carter. Proceeds from the dinner support the multimillion dollar fundraising effort to build the Nevada Veterans Memorial Plaza, honoring all fallen soldiers in Nevada since official statehood in 1864. The 1940’s themed event begins at 6 p.m. and features silent and live auctions, dinner and other aspects reminiscent of World War 2 America.
