At least eight brush fires were knocked out Tuesday along Highway 395 near Parr Boulevard north of Reno. No cause of the fire outbreak has been determined. Six engines responded and for a time one traffic lane was shutdown. The first fire was reported after 11:30a, all burned on the east side of 395. RFD initially responded with four engines, one Battalion Chief and one Division Chief. They then requested two additional engines and mutual aid from Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District for a water tender.
