Sparks Police have an accused rapist in custody. The suspect has been a target since 2011, accused of sexually assaulting adult women. The crimes have been linked to Alfredo Lomeli-Garcia who fled the country. Investigators worked with the Washoe County District Attorney’s Office and the US Marshals Office to apprehend Lomeli-Garcia. In February he was arrested in Mexico, this week he was returned to the U.S. and booked at Washoe County Jail. He faces four Burglary charges, two counts of Attempted Sexual Assault with the Use of a deadly Weapon, three counts of sexual assault two robbery charges, and one charge of Robbery with a Deadly Weapon.
