The Hot August Nights Foundation, A&W Restaurants and First Independent Bank teamed up this past Saturday to collect over 500 coats for the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows, the leading nonprofit youth services agency in Northern Nevada. Mike Whan executive director of Hot August Nights says thanks to our community members, they’re able to help a significant amount of kids this winter. The annual coat drive, which is in its eleventh year, is still accepting donations until Nov. 30. Community members can drop off any new or gently used coats to the Hot August Nights headquarters located at 1425 E Greg St, Sparks.
