The execution of Scott Dozier scheduled for this week has been stayed because of the drug cocktail that was going to be used to put Dozier to death. Judge Jennifer Togliatti has postponed Dozier’s execution date, even though Dozier has said he’s ready to die. The issue at hand was a paralytic that many, including the ACLU, say would suffocate Dozier to death. It’s unlikely that Dozier’s execution will happen before the end of the year.
