The clock is ticking on open enrollment under the Affordable Care Act. The people at Nevada Health Link are reminding Nevadan’s of the shorter enrollment period, it ends on December 15th. Health Link’s Janelle Davis says people are signing up in droves, despite the lack of outreach from the federal government. She is also reminding residents, plans and providers have changed, and premiums have gone up, but the vast majority of enrollees can get government subsidies to help pay for coverage, and despite talk about dropping the individual mandate, that’s not the law yet. The uninsured could face IRS tax penalties. Go online to “NevadaHealthLink.com, or you can call for local in person assistance at 855-768-5465.
