Nevada Democrats File Suit to Stop Recall

Nevada democrats are suing to stop a recall of State Senator Joyce Woodhouse. The lawsuit claims more than 3,000 signatures submitted to the Secretary of State are invalid. They say they came from people who aren’t registered to vote in the district, didn’t vote in 2016, or are unregistered voters. The recall needed more than 14, 000 valid signatures to go forward, and more than 17,000 were submitted. Also people who say they were misled by petition gatherers are asking for their signatures to be removed. Some are also saying their signatures were forged.
