Three Skiers Trigger an Avalanche in The Mt. Rose Area

Three backcountry skiers triggered and were caught in an avalanche in the Mt. Rose area of Lake Tahoe last Thursday. That’s according to the Sierra Avalanche Center who are reported an avalanche November 16th in Hourglass Bowl on Tamarack Peak. The slide was three feet deep and 600 feet long. All the skiers survived, one broke an ankle.
