The Nevada Highway Patrol has released the name of a pedestrian killed on the Pyramid Highway Sunday. Troopers say 25-year-old Kody Nicholas Strong of Sparks was wearing dark clothing and there was no overhead lighting in the area. He was pronounced dead at the scene after being hit. The accident happened near Spring Ridge Drive north of Los Altos Parkway. The preliminary investigation indicates the driver of a Ford Expedition was headed south in the right lane, approaching the intersection with Spring Ridge Drive. The driver told troopers he didn’t see the pedestrian in the lane and was unable to stop or avoid hitting him.
