(KOH) – The Nevada Department of Transportation has wrapped up work for the year on the State Route 28 Shared Use Path. This is the second year they’ve been working on the project, and plan to finish it up completely by next year or early 2019, depending on weather conditions. The $36 million dollar project includes a new tunnel that routes the path underneath SR 28, a pedestrian crossing signal at Lakeshore Blvd., more parking spots, and lots of safety and water quality improvements. More than 2.5 million drivers travel on SR 28 every year.
