They’ve been doing it for 33 years. and RTC is doing it again. The New Year’s Eve FREE Safe RIDE program brings together community partners to cover the cost of providing free transit service. Scheduled RTC transit services will be free on New Year’s Eve starting at 6 p.m. until 2 a.m. on New Year’s Day. The goal of providing this FREE service is to make it easy for people to get home after celebrating on New Year’s Eve, so they don’t get behind the wheel or try to walk home while impaired.
