Home prices continue to rise, and many more northern Nevadans are no longer “Underwater” meaning their homes are now worth more than they owe on them. The Reno Sparks Association of Realtors says in 2017 home prices rose 5-6%. The latest median price in the Reno Sparks area is 355 thousand dollars, about 10 thousand dollars short of the high water mark of 2006. Currently there is great demand for homes and short supply. RSAR President John Graham expects 2018, to be a lot like 2017, when it comes to home prices.
