No Plans to Reopen Topaz Post Office

Due to structural and safety concerns, the building that houses the Topaz Post Office located at 11 Topaz Lane has been permanently vacated. Juvenile Killers Winning Release From Prison

Five Nevada juveniles who were sentenced for murder have been released since lawmakers ended “Life without parole,” for juvenile offenders. The change covers those who’ve served 20 years for their crimes, but weren’t convicted of more that one homicide. Man Drowns in Lake Tahoe at Sand Harbor

A man drowned Saturday while swimming at Sand Harbor near the north end of Lake Tahoe. Washoe County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Bob Harmon said the man went into the water about 5 p.m. and became distressed.
