The Nevada Highway Patrol has released the name of a woman killed in a weekend crash on South Carson Street at the intersection with Koontz Lane. The NHP says preliminary investigation indicates the driver of a Ford F150 pickup was headed north on South Carson Street approaching the intersection. He ran the red light, hitting the driver’s side of a Buick, driven by 81-year-old Rosemary Frenzel Stroup of Carson City. The passenger was treated and released and is recovering at home. The crash is still under investigation.
