Salvation Army Cuts The Ribbon on a New Store in Carson City

The Salvation Army cut the ribbon and opened the doors to its new Family Store at 3320 Research Way in Carson City Thursday morning. The 18,000-square foot store, part of what may be the first speculative warehouse space built in Carson City in a decade, offers greater floor space and a brightly lit interior for more merchandise and easier shopping. Lt. Shari Fowler of the Salvation Army, Reno Corps, says they’re offering a department store experience at thrift store prices. The store provides funding for the Salvation Army’s recovery programs serving 200-300 people each year in Northern Nevada.
