The Popular “Sheep Show” Getting Started in Reno

The 41st annual Wild Sheep Foundation Hunting and Sporting Expo is at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, with banquets and auctions at the Peppermill Resort. The Bozeman, Montana based Wild Sheep Foundation celebrates its Sheep Show’s 28th year in Reno and is expected to have an $8 million economic impact for the Reno area. The Sheep Show® is the largest conservation and mountain hunting convention in the U.S. and features hundreds of exhibitors, entertainers and educational events, as well as online live and silent auctions. The auctions at the event offer more than $6 million in hunts, trips, art, firearms and equipment, as well as more special conservation permits than any other convention or wildlife show. More than 10,000 wild sheep conservationists are expected to attend the 2018 Reno show. Tickets can be had for  $15, if you get a five dollar discount coupon at places like Cabelas, Scheels, and Mark Fore and Strike among others.
