(KOH) – A door-to-door salesman outside Sacramento was arrested because he was wanted for kidnapping and for failing to register as a sex offender in Washington state.  A Placer County Sheriff’s deputy observed 20-year-old Justin Hale approaching homes in Granite Bay, and stopped him to check for his peddler’s license, which Hale could not produce.  He said he was collecting new subscriber information for a Texas-based energy company.  A national records check revealed the warrants, and Hale was arrested,  He is being held without bail while awaiting extradition to Washington.
