Heads Starting to Roll Over Mental Health Scandal

The administrator of the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health has resigned, in the wake of the Mental Health Group home scandal. Amy Roukie faced termination, according to HHS Director Richard Whitley. A state audit showed people with mental illness were being housed in filthy conditions at taxpayer expense. Roukie had told lawmakers the deputy administrator in charge had been replaced because of the audits findings, but that was not true, according to Whitley.
