A 50-year-old man died Saturday morning when his motorcycle collided with a REMSA ambulance. Around 11:20 a.m., the ambulance was entering the intersection of North McCarran and the Southbound 395 Off Ramp with emergency lights and sirens on when the westbound motorcyclist crashed into it. The intersection was closed for several hours as the Major Accident Investigation Team collected evidence. The investigation is continuing, but neither speed or alcohol appear to be a factor. The name of the motorcyclist has not been released, pending notification of family. If you have any information, contact Reno Police at 334-2115, or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
