Sun Valley Man Killed in Crash With REMSA Ambulance

A motorcyclist who died Saturday morning after colliding with a REMSA ambulance has been identified. The ambulance was headed to a call and had its lights and sirens on when 50-year-old Kenneth Dixon of Sun Valley hit it, as the ambulance entered the intersection of North McCarran Boulevard and the southbound 395 onramp. Dixon died after being taken to a hospital. The Reno Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is leading the investigation, saying it doesn’t appear alcohol or speed were factors.
