Washoe County Sheriff’s detectives are asking for the public’s help with any information that might help, in the investigation of a body found inside an SUV on the northeast side of Peavine Mountain Thursday night. Shortly after 5:00 p.m. police were notified of a body on a Peavine access road about a mile up the mountain from Virginia Street. Deputies found the blue Toyota RAV4 and confirmed the body of a white man inside. Sheriff’s detectives would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the vehicle, or witnessed any suspicious people or activity in the area. The Washoe County Medical Examiner will work to determine cause of death and confirm the identity of the man.
