Washoe County Sheriff’s say they caught a residential burglary suspect in the act Thursday morning. At 9:18 a.m. dispatch got a call from a homeowner reporting a suspicious person in the back yard of her home on Aquifer Way near Bernoulli Street. Deputies say they found a man still in the yard and determined he had property belonging to the homeowner. Deputies also found several homes and vehicles had been burglarized in the area. 25-year-old Mike Chavez of Reno has been booked into the Washoe County jail on multiple charges of burglary and possession of stolen property.
