The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is joining other Nevada law enforcement agencies to emphasize the importance of safe and sober driving as we approach Big Game Sunday. Through February 15th, the Sheriff’s Office, Reno and Sparks Police Departments, and the Nevada Highway Patrol will dedicate extra officers to DUI enforcement as part of statewide Joining Forces campaign aimed at reducing Driving Under the Influence. They say the goal of these enforcement campaigns is to save lives by increasing public awareness about the dangers of making poor choices while driving. The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office urges drivers to make plans now so that they may enjoy the game responsibly and have an alternative to driving under the influence.
