Congresswoman Jacky Rosen has introduced the “Keeping Our Commitment to Ending Veteran Homelessness Act.” This bipartisan legislation would reauthorize several key programs that provide outreach and services to homeless veterans in Nevada and across the country. The bill would renew eight U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and Department of Labor programs that will begin to expire on September 30, 2018 without Congressional action. There are more than 200,000 veterans living in Nevada. Congresswoman Rosen says “Nevada’s veterans have put their lives on the line to protect this nation, and it is our responsibility to support them when they finish their service.” The sponsors say no veterans should be living in the streets they fought to defend.
