Washoe County Sheriff’s Office staff donated more than four thousand dollars to the Northern Nevada Chapter of “Concerns of Police Survivors,” following the third month of the Sheriff’s five-month “no shave” charitable campaign. Sheriff Chuck Allen and members of the Sheriff’s Office staff presented $4,450 to Northern Nevada C.O.P.S.’s Board President Jennifer Grant-Blount and Treasurer Doug McPartland in front of Sheriff’s Headquarters on Parr Boulevard. The funds will help support the non-profit’s mission to provide resources that assist in the rebuilding of the lives of surviving families of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. Northern Nevada C.O.P.S. provides emotional and financial support as well as legal assistance to survivors of fallen officers for as long as that support is needed.
