The Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County is considering a connector between Spanish Springs and USA Parkway, but it’ll be years before it gets the okay. The agency realizes that a lot of people who work at the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center live in the Spanish Springs and Sparks area, and a through way connector would be a short cut on their commute. Lee Gibson with RTC says other work is already planned to make the drive to the TRIC quicker and easier. Public input would also have to be considered before they make a final call on the idea, so the connector, if it does come to fruition wouldn’t get started for several years.
