Nevada Water Supply Report Released

The NRCS Nevada Water Supply Outlook Report, released each month from January through May, now includes a section on rangeland conditions that looks at valley-based data related to plant production. Adding the range data expands the usefulness of the report, assisting the ranching community’s awareness of valley climate and rangeland conditions. As far as snowpack– February percentages are 26 to 50% of median across most of the region. The Lake Tahoe, Truckee, Carson and Walker basins have received between 63-80% of average, while the Humboldt basin has had 74%.
