Reno is turning 150 this year, and the Reno Arts and Culture Commission is looking for new designs for new official flag for the city. The current community flag, created in 1959, is unofficial and was never adopted by the City of Reno…so the City of Reno hopes the new design will showcase how much Reno has changed since then. The competition is open for anyone and everyone. For information on guidelines visit Reno dot gov. Submissions are due by midnight March 2, as the council is expected to adopt a new flag in April.
