The Washoe County School District Board of Trustees has voted to move forward on contract negotiations with superintendent Traci Davis.
Davis’ current contract expires at the end of June. The details of the contract won’t be discussed until a later time, and the district says they will involve the public in every step.
Board President Katy Simon Holland says they will take Davis’ review into account. In that review, the board ranked Davis’ performance as accomplished despite a third party review rating her performance as minimally effective. Holland points to things like improved graduation rates as an indicator of Davis’ success.
