Eric Buhl of Carson City has been sentenced to life in prison for the death of a toddler left in his care last March. He will be eligible for parole after 20 years. Buhl pleaded guilty to first-degree murder for death of the two-year-old left in his care. He originally told the judge the internal injuries suffered by the child— a lacerated heart, liver and pancreas, were due to CPR he administered when the child began choking. The medical examiner said the child died of internal injuries from being beaten.
