The StoneGate development was approved with a 6 to 1 vote by Reno City Council Wednesday. Councilwoman Jenny Breckhus was the sole “no” vote. The 1,738-acre master planned community will include 4,100 homes and apartments, parks, open space, and shopping. Developers say they are working with the Nevada Department of Transportation to improve infrastructure before the project is completed in an effort to avoid adding to traffic congestion on 395. The project will now go to the Truckee Meadows Regional Planning Agency for review.
