Nevada Board of Examiners Approve Money to Fight Yucca Project

Under pressure from the White House and it’s proposed budget, the Nevada’s Board of Examiners has approved a $5.1 million contract with an outside legal team to help fight the latest proposal to restart the Yucca Mountain nuclear waste dump. he panel chaired by the Governor, voted unanimously to extend the state’s contract for another two years with an Austin, Texas law firm. For the second year in a row, Trump’s budget request to Congress included $120 million for the Department of Energy to resume efforts to re license the nuke waste project.
