Classes Cancelled at Elko High School After Report of Possible Threat

Classes were canceled Wednesday after a report of a possible threat at Elko High School. District Superintendent Jeff Zander a statement saying, there is nothing more important to us than the safety of our students and staff. Zander blamed the cancellation of classes on an anonymous report received the night before. The statement says the district and local law enforcement agencies are working diligently to determine the credibility of the threats. He added, the vigilance of our parents, students, staff, and neighbors still remains the very best safety measure we have. The plan is to reopen the school today.
