Reno crews responded to a house fire in midtown yesterday. The was reported just after 5 o’clock in the area of Thoma Street and Bates Avenue. The Reno Fire Department arrived soon enough to contain the fire to one bedroom, but a cat was killed. The resident suffered moderate smoke inhalation and was taken to the hospital.
