A 19-year-old man was taken to the hospital after being hit by a car Wednesday night in Sparks. Police say the crash happened about 6:30 at Rock Boulevard and Gault Way. The driver told the Sparks Police Department she was heading south on Rock Boulevard and did not see the skateboarder before she hit him. His injuries were described as non-life threatening.
