Eight people were taken to a hospital for injuries sustained in a crash on Interstate 80.
The crash involving about 20 big rigs and passenger cars was reported shortly after 2PM, in the eastbound lanes of the Mustang area. No cause has been determined.
Eastbound traffic was held for several hours.
A 34 vehicle crash on northbound I-580 at the Galena Creek Bridge had traffic stalled for several hours. That crash was reported shortly before 4PM.
Another crash had both directions of Old 395 shut down at Eastlake Boulevard in Washoe Valley due to a jackknifed big rig.
Four people were taken to the hospital following a three-vehicle, head-on collision on eastbound Hwy 50 Alternate West of Hazen.
Another crash blocked westbound Interstate 80, 10 miles east of Fernley due to an overturned semi.
