Candidate filing for non-judicial offices on the 2018 ballot begins at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, March 5th and runs through 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 16th. Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske encourages candidates who will be filing at the Secretary of State’s office to schedule appointments in advance; however, an appointment is not required in order to file for office. For candidates who are required to file with the Secretary of State, filing will be available at the Secretary of State’s offices in the State Capitol Building in Carson City during regular business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
