The Nevada Department of Public Safety will hold a hiring event Saturday, March 24th, for candidates seeking a career in law enforcement. About 80 positions are open within the Nevada DPS statewide, with the Nevada Highway Patrol, Parole and Probation Division, Capitol Police, and civilian positions as a Public Safety Dispatcher. The hiring event will be held Nevada DPS Northern Academy 2101 Snyder Ave. Carson City from 7 :00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Bring a government-issued identification card that includes a photo; driver’s license, Military ID, State issued ID card, and a resume. If you want to be an officer you should arrive in workout attire. Public Safety Dispatcher candidates must bring a typing certificate. This event is designed to move qualified candidates through the first phase of hiring and for potential officers includes a Physical Fitness Test.
