The Special Olympics of Northern California and Nevada is again holding a fundraiser, that will include the famous Polar Plunge, Saturday, March 17th, at Zephyr Cove. It’s not really a swim, but instead challenges willing participants to take a dunk into Lake Tahoe. Participants raise a minimum of $125 per person in sponsorship of their team, although you can register as a “chicken” to enjoy the fun but avoid the plunge. The event benefits more than 24,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities to succeed in life through sports.
