Reno Crews Knock Down a Couple of Weekend Fires

The Sparks Fire Department responded to a report of a fire burning at a vacant building on Dermody Way Sunday just after 4pm. After making a forced entry, the fire department had the fire under control within an hour. The building was stripped inside so firefighters don’t think there was too much damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

A fire burned the exterior of a building and some fencing Sunday afternoon just after 1:30 on Carville Drive in northeast Reno. The first Reno Fire Department engine to arrive was able to knock it down. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
