The Reno Police Department credits Secret Witness for the tip that led to the arrest of the driver, who allegedly hit a pedestrian at Sixth Street and Valley Road who later died. 43 year old Adam Beam was booked into the Washoe County jail on a felony count of hit and run. Police found Jerry Vanlaar of Reno in the road with substantial head injuries Jan. 21st, Vanlaar died of his injuries on Feb. 25. Police say during the arrest, investigators located evidence which tied Beam and his vehicle to the crash.
