The Nevada Department of Public Safety Investigation Division’s Tri-NET Narcotic Task Force arrested 44 year old Russell Masset, and 35 year old Frances Revada Jr. on charges that include Unlawful Transport, Exchange, Prescription, or Administration of a Controlled Substance; Conspiracy; and Burglary.  Over the course of the investigation, which started in April 2017, detectives learned that numerous fraudulent Veteran Affair prescriptions for Oxycodone were being filled on behalf of several individuals, who were not documented Veterans. The investigation disclosed that one of the arrestees, Masset, was formerly employed as a Physician’s Assistant by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The investigation continues and will examine whether any other persons were involved in criminal activity. Both were booked into Washoe County Jail February 22nd..
