A simple traffic stop led to a big drug bust in Churchill County. During the stop, the Nevada Highway Patrol trooper saw signs of alleged impairment while speaking with the driver. The trooper not only found an open container of alcohol but 14 pounds of marijuana. Troopers also found a semi-automatic pistol that had been reported stolen out of Arizona. The driver, a 19-year-old woman, and passenger, a 20-year-old man, were arrested. Additional charges are pending.
