Sparks Middle School Teacher Gets Special Recognition

Sparks Middle School history teacher Christine Hull has been nominated for a national award in recognition of her “use of creative teaching methods that interest students in history and help them make exciting discoveries about the past.” Hull was the only Nevada middle school teacher chosen to compete for the James F. Harris History Teacher of the Year award this year. Principal Stacey Ting calls Hull, an inspiring, engaging teacher who not only helps our students learn about history, but also explore those lessons in an effort to apply them to the present day. Fifty-seven nominees are chosen to compete for the award from school districts nationwide that participate in National History Day activities.
