Looks like “spontaneous combustion” is to blame for a fire at the Lockwood Landfill . Storey County crews battled the ten thousand square foot fire for about 4 hours Sunday, with help from Truckee Meadows and Sparks Fire Departments. Storey County Manager Pat Whitten says the fire was not in danger of spreading outside the landfill.
