Every year the U.S. Defense Department honors employers for the support of the guard and reserve. It’s the Defense Employer Support Freedom Award. The 30 finalists nationally this year include, the State of Nevada. The state was nominated by the Air National Guard. The award recognizes employers who follow all the rules, and support their employees while they are deployed. The 15 recipients of the 2018 Secretary of Defense Freedom Award will be named by mid-June.
