A man convicted of two separate counts of Lewdness with a Child, 48 year old Craig Martin formerly of Silver Springs, has been sentenced to life in prison with parole eligibility after ten years. The District Court ordered the sentences to run consecutively, which means that  Martin will not be eligible for parole for at least twenty years. Lyon County District Attorney Stephen Rye says the sentence sends a strong message that child sexual abuse will not be tolerated in Lyon County, and that the community will protect victims and investigate, arrest and prosecute child molesters.
