It’s now up to the folks on the Artown Board to chose one of four finalists to take over ownership of the vacant Lear Theater that sits just steps away from the River and Wingfield Park. It’s down to Mercury Momentum, Sierra School of Performing Arts, the Alchemist Theatre, and a partnership between Merry War Theatre Group and the Potentialist Workshop.  The group awarded the building is required to fix it up, with plumbing and other construction related needs a top priority. A final decision is expected from the board in the next couple of months, with the winning team getting the keys sometime in June.
