(KOH) – The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office secured a grant courtesy of Firehouse Subs which will pay for a K9 Unit. A celebration will be held Wednesday at the Firehouse Subs in Carson City to introduce Borys, a Czech Shephard, along with other members of the office. The grant will allow the sheriff’s office to train Borys, provide a vehicle customized with K-9 safety features, and cover the cost of the K-9 handler certification course.
