The Washoe County District Attorney’s Office has gotten three life sentences against a man convicted for sexual abuse, and producing child pornography. 40-year-old Michael Gallagher of Reno pleaded guilty in January to two counts of Lewdness with a Child Under 14 and one count of using or permitting a minor under age 14 to produce pornography. Gallagher won’t be eligible for parole until 30 years have been served. The case against Gallagher began last August when a seven-year-old girl told an adult she trusted, about the abuse. Reno Police were contacted and detectives determined the victim had been abused over the course of several months by Gallagher. Gallagher had moved into a home with the victim and her mother in April 2017. While there, according to the DA’s Office, he committed several acts of lewdness with the child. Detectives also determined Gallagher had directed the girl to engage in sexual acts and poses, which he recorded and kept on his phone.
